Welcome to Girls on the Run (GOTR) Sonoma County, a life-changing, non-profit prevention program for girls in the 3rd through 5th grade.

Our mission is "to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living."

GOTR is an after-school program that uses the power of exercise to focus on building self-esteem and improving emotional and physical health. Girls are empowered with a greater self-awareness, sense of achievement and a foundation in team building to help them become strong and confident young women.

GOTR Sonoma County is an Independent Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of over 150 locations across the United States and Canada.

Running Buddy Registration is LIVE  REGISTER HERE

If you don't have the time to coach but want to help Girls on the Run, join us at our finale 5K. You will be teamed one-on-one with a young girl.  Running Buddies run (and sometimes walk) the 5K (3.1 mile) course, which is the final phase of our 12-week program.

Running Buddies have the opportunity to positively encourage and mentor girls running or walking the event, and at the end, help celebrate their accomplishment of completing a 5K.

Running Buddy registration is hosted by Jill B. Nimble/Nimble Training.  DEADLINE: April 18 at 5 PM.


Ten for Teams Program - just $10 tax-free for the girls!

Thanks to your help and the $11,000 we raised through the Human Race last year, we were able to provide 58 program scholarships, 25 shoe scholarships and pay expanion costs for three new teams.  It was an exciting year and we can use your help once again.  We invite you to support our cause with a $10 donation, or any contribution that fits your budget.  Thank you in advance - every penny helps!
