Girls on the Run Sonoma County is operated solely by volunteers. Our volunteers are a dynamic group of people who are committed to empowering girls to become healthy and happy young women.

You can also become a Girls on the Run Sonoma County local sponsor. GOTRSC exists and operates solely by grants, private and in-kind donations and local sponsors. Sponsors donate money, snacks, t-shirts, water bottles, supplies, running shoes and scholarships for girls in-need. Your support will ensure that our program continues to grow and make a difference in our community. By making a tax-deductible contribution to Girls on the Run Sonoma County, you are helping our girls become strong, healthy and confident members of our community.

Would you like to be a GOTR Running Buddy?
For women that want to make a difference but aren't available for coaching, we offer the chance to be a Running Buddy for our community 5k event. As a Running Buddy, women have the opportunity to be a positive encourager and mentor for girls running (or walking) the 5k! At the end of the race, Running Buddies help celebrate their accomplishment of completing a 5k!
GOTR Celebration and 5k Run/Walk:
- Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 8:00 AM
- Grant School's Turkey Trot 5k
- Schollenberger Park, Petaluma
Running Buddy Registration (2-step process):
- Step 1: Register as a Running Buddy with GOTR Sonoma County (click here)
- Step 2: Register as a Participant at Grant School's Turkey Trot 5k - $20 until 10/31/08; $25 after 11/01/08 (click here)
